Box Score Madison, N.J. - The Catholic University of America men's soccer team fell to Landmark Conference opponent Drew University, 1-0, on Saturday afternoon.
The Cardinals and Rangers played an evenly possessed first half to a 0-0 draw. Catholic was awarded a free kick in the 23rd minute where senior Sean Adams took the first shot on goal of the match.
Following the break the Rangers picked up momentum and struck in the 53rd minutes. Drew senior Dylan Hammer got his head on a deflected save and flicked it between the posts for the lone goal of the game.
Senior goalkeeper Zachery Tashjy made five saves through the conference battle.
Catholic return home for to finish out their 2016 regular season against the University of Scranton. The Cardinals and Royals are set to kick off at 3:30 p.m., on Saturday, Oct. 29.
