Box Score Bethlehem, PA. - After a hard fought 90-minutes, The Catholic University of America men's soccer team dropped its Landmark Conference match to Moravian College, 3-1.
The Cardinals put a goal on the scoreboard early in the first half but with a strong second half effort, the Greyhounds notched three to capture the Saturday evening conference victory.
Catholic's goal came in the 19th minute after a Moravian foul. Senior Miguel Hernandez set up the free kick from just in front of the midfield line. He lobbed the ball to the head of junior Heston Priestley who directed it into the net. The Cards maintained the one-goal advantage through the halftime intermission.
After the break the Hounds struck back. Moravian tied the game in the 49th minute when senior Saul Marcial chipped in a loose ball. Freshman Jack Dugun scored the go-ahead goal 21 minutes later and sophomore Koshane Marshall capped off the Greyhound scoring with their third goal, in the 82nd minute.
Catholic freshman Bradley Pierro took four shots throughout the conference matchup while senior Sean Adams took three. The Cardinal's senior goalkeeper Zachery Tashjy made six saves.
The Cardinals will host Washington College on Wednesday, Oct. 19, at 4 p.m., before continuing Landmark play on the road at Drew University Saturday, Oct. 22, at 3:30 p.m.
