Rahn begins his eighth year as the Director of Cross Country and Track and Field at Catholic in 2025-26. Rahn holds over 20 years of coaching experience.

The Catholic XC/Track & Field programs continued a strong run of success in 2024-25, claiming a Landmark Conference crown and sending multiple runners to successful NCAA Championship appearances. Catholic eked out a Landmark Conference title in women's cross country in the fall, the second straight victory for Catholic, thanks to a title-winning performance from Kate Inglis. Inglis became the first Cardinal to win Landmark Performer of the Year honors, helping Catholic to a one-point victory in the race. Inglis wouid go on top compete at NCAA's for the second consecutive year, finishing 93rd with a time of 22:17.9. It was the first top-100 finish by a Catholic woman since 1991. Inglis was named the Landmark Conference's Senior Scholar-Athlete for her contributions on the course and in the classroom.

On the men's cross country side, Conor Gross led Catholic to a fifth-place finish, earning All-Landmark Second Team honors as he finished the race in 10th with a time of 25:45.84. Gross would go on to finish 40th at South Regionals, earning USTFCCCA All-Academic honors.

During the winter, the Catholic women placed second at the Landmark Indoor Championships with three gold medals. Emily Moehringer won Catholic's lone individual championship with a win in the mile while the 4x200 and 4x400 relays claimed gold as well. Six Cardinals were named to the USTFCCCA All-South Region Team while Moehringer would qualify for NCAA's in the Mile, finishing 13th to pick up USTFCCCA Second Team All-America honors. The Cardinal men placed fourth at the Landmark Championships, bringing home the gold in the 4x200 relay. Five Cardinals would be named to the USTFCCCA All-South Region team. Christian Di Nicolantonio was named South Region Field Athlete of the Year after hitting the season's top mark (5.25 meters) before an injury knocked him out for the end of the season. Di Nicolantonio and Moehringer were named the Landmark's Senior Scholar-Athletes.

The outdoor season was a historic one for Catholic as three Cardinals combined to earn four All-American honors. On the women's side, Catholic took second at the Landmark Championships with individual gold medals brought home by Inglis and Brigid Byrnes. Seven Cardinals would be named USTFCCCA All-South Region athletes while Moehringer (800, 1500), Byrnes (400H), and Clare Marsh (400H) all qualified for the NCAA Championships. Moehringer would go on to earn First Team All-America honors in the 1,500 while grabbing a second-team nod in the 800. Byrnes would also add a second-team honor in the 400 hurdles.

The Catholic men would finish fourth at the Landmark Outdoor Championships with Jevontae Fearwell and Gabe Stypul earning gold medals in the 100 and pole vault respectively. Eight Cardinals would go on to earn USTFCCCA All-South Region honors while Fearwell qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 100. Fearwell would become the first men's track athlete since 1995 to earn All-America honors and the first-ever to do so in a sprint race. Fearwell placed fourth to earn first-team honors with a time of 10.46 seconds.

2023-24 was a banner year for Rahn and the entire cross country/track & field program. Kicking off the fall with a bang, the women's cross country team captured the Landmark Conference Championship for just the second time in program history. Catholic's score of 41 was its lowest in program championship history, bettering the 2012 total of 63 points. Inglis and Apolline Gaspers finished second and third to earn All-Landmark First Team honors and pace the Cardinals to victory.

Despite being picked fifth in the pre-championship poll, the Cardinal men ran to a third-place finish thanks to a monster performance from Ian Hopkins, who finished third in his first race of the season. Joe Wolfe posted his second consecutive 11th-place finish for the Cardinals at the meet.

After a pair of strong efforts at the NCAA South Regional Championships, Hopkins and Inglis qualified to run at the NCAA Cross Country Championships in Newville, Pa. Inglis became the eighth woman to compete and first since 2021 while Hopkins made it three straight years for a Cardinal male to compete.

The success continued into the winter as Catholic picked up a pair of second-place finishes at the Landmark Indoor Championships, including the best-ever finish for the women. Catholic pushed Susquehanna to the very end, finishing just seven points shy of the River Hawks on the women's side. Inglis was named Landmark Indoor Track Athlete of the Year with wins in the 3,000 and 5,000 while Rahn and co. were named Landmark Coaching Staff of the Year.

As for the men, Fearwell and Jordyn Walker took home major awards as the Cardinals edged out Moravian to finish second behind the River Hawks. Di Nicolantonio and Moehringer would go on to compete at the NCAA Indoor Championships, both earning All-America honors as Di Nicolantonio finished 3rd and Moehringer finished 13th in their respective events.

In the spring, Catholic would go on to win its first-ever track & field championship as the women's outdoor team braved the elements to hold off Moravian and Susquehanna. Byrnes earned Rookie of the Year honors while Rahn and his staff once again earned Coach of the Year honors. Four Cardinals would go on to compete at NCAA Outdoor Championships: Di Nicolantonio, Moehringer, Marsh, and Lauren Cerda.

All four athletes would earn All-America honors as Di Nicolantonio became the first national champion in more than 30 years for the program. CDN won the pole vault with a 5.19-meter vault, a program and conference record, becoming the first individual champion at Catholic since Tom Caffrey in 1991. Cerda (10th), Marsh (12th), and Moehringer (14th) all earned Second Team All-America nods.

Rahn was named USTFCCCA South Region Coach of the Year for the outdoor campaign.

The men were ranked within the top 10 of the USTFCCCA Regional rankings throughout the entirety of the 2021 season, after having never been ranked before that season. Both the men's and women's teams finished in the top 10 at the Regional Championships.

During the 2021 track and field season, Rahn coached women's track athlete Ellie Bixenman to Rookie of the Year honors in the Landmark Conference. Walker broke the school record in the triple jump and was named an Academic All-American. Charissa Keller broke the school record in the pole value while Liz Caufield broke the school record in the triple jump. Catholic had 14 total athletes honored as All-Landmark selections across the men's and women's teams in 2021.

She was also honored as the Landmark Conference Field Athlete of the Year and USTFCCCA South/Southern Region Field Athlete of the Year that season.

During the 2018 season, the women's cross country team was ranked as high as sixth in the South/Southeast Region by the USTFCCCA. Senior Kiera Lyons (2019) earned Senior Scholar Athlete and All-Region Honors under Rahn's coaching. The Cardinals finished 12th at the 2018 NCAA South/Southeast Region Regional Championship.

Rahn spent six years as an assistant track and field coach at Moravian working with the sprinters, hurdlers and combined event athletes. He also mentored the 2014 USTFCCCA Mideast Region Field Athlete of the Year, Kris Joint.

Prior to Moravian, Rahn coached at Albright College for two years as the assistant track and field coach for hurdles and jumps. While there, he coached one NCAA qualifier and five school record holders.
