Dolan begins his ninth year as the head men's and women's golf coach at Catholic in 2025-26. He joined the department on Oct. 10, 2017, after the University announced the return of men's golf for the first time in three decades and the addition of women's golf for the first time in school history.Â
Dolan's Cardinals made history in 2024-25, as his women's team won the Landmark Championship via tiebreaker to become the first women's program to win three consecutive titles in conference history. The title was Dolan's fourth women's championship and fifth overall at Catholic. Brooke Smith, Lauren Lombardo, and Gabi Courtney were named to the All-Landmark First Team while Avery Mrak and Lauren Wright nabbed All-Landmark Second Team honors. Dolan grabbed Coach of the Year honors for the third straight season. Catholic would go on to compete in the NCAA Championships, placing 34th with a two-day score of 691 in rain-soaked and weather-delayed conditions. Lauren Lombardo was named the women's programs' second Landmark Senior Scholar-Athlete and the fifth in Catholic golf history.
The men's program finished fifth at the Landmark Championships, getting an All-Landmark Honorable Mention performance from Joe Earley while Tim Cleary was named the men's teams' first-ever Rookie of the Year.Â
The 2023-24 season saw the continued growth of the women's golf program as it secured the Landmark Conference crown for the second consecutive season and the third time in program history. A dominant performance showed the Cardinals pull off a 43-shot victory as Lauren Lombardo edged out Drew's Kayla Diaz in a playoff to secure the low medalist honor. Catholic placed four athletes in the top seven at the event as Dolan and assistant Kaleigh McDonald took home Coaching Staff of the Year honors. The Catholic women went on to compete at NCAA's, placing 26th as Brooke Smith shot 80-84 to pace the team.Â
On the men's side, Catholic finished third at the Landmark Championships, 11 shots back of Drew for second and 13 back of Scranton. Colin Coogan placed second, finishing as one of just two athletes under par at the event while Jack Walsh finished in a tie for fifth at three-over. Both would earn major accolades for the season as Coogan became the first all-region selection in program history while Walsh was named Landmark Senior Scholar Athlete.Â
During the women's 2022-23 season, Dolan's women's program took home the Landmark Conference Championship for the second time in program history, defeating Drew University by 14 strokes at Glenmaura National Golf Club on April 24. Brooke Smith helped lead the way for the Cardinals, carding a final day 77 to place in the top five and earn Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year honors. Dolan and assistant coach Mary Colella earned Coaching Staff of the Year honors while four Cardinals were named to the All-Landmark Team. Catholic went on to finish 25th at the NCAA Championships with an overall stroke total of 716. Day three of the event was nullified after an unplayable pin caused massive delays on the course.Â
The Cardinal men finished in a tie for third at the Landmark Conference Championships, posting a team score of 624 (+64), 11 shots off the winning number. Colin Coogan and Darren Horton earned All-Landmark honors.Â
The women finished second in the Landmark in 2021-22, posting a school-record score of 324, breaking the conference record for the lowest round by a team by nine shots. Colella, Olivia Brogan, and Lauren Lombardo all earned All-Landmark honors. The men captured a third-place finish, falling just seven shots shy of Drew's Championship-winning score of 640. Jack Walsh and Zach Mueller were both named to the Landmark All-Conference First Team while Kaden Kinard pick up second-team honors.
Dolan's team won its first Landmark Conference Championship in program history in April 2021 as Colella was named Landmark Conference Player of the Year after winning the individual title by four shots at Fox Hollow Golf Club. The Cardinals posted a score of 352 to defeat Goucher by 11 strokes. Claire O'Brien, Carolyn Mueller, and Tess Murphy all placed inside the top 10 to earn All-Landmark honors alongside Colella.Â
The men made it a clean sweep in 2021, also triumphing at the conference championship to send the team to the NCAA Tournament for the first time.  Mueller was named Landmark Conference Player of the Year to lead the Cardinals to an eight-shot victory over Scranton to bring home the conference crown. Dolan's programs swept the 2021 titles, becoming the first program in conference history to do so. Alex Freedman, Matthew Laurendeau and Kinard each finished in the top five behind Mueller. Catholic went on to place 26th at the NCAA Men's Golf Championships in Wheeling, W. Va. with Mueller picking up a top-75 finish.Â
In the team's first spring season of competition, Dolan led the women's team to second place in the Landmark Conference Championships in May 2019. The Cardinals placed three on the All-Landmark teams, including First Teamers Colella and Murphy, who were honored as Landmark Co-Rookies of the Year. The men took fifth in the conference championship tournament, highlighted by All-Conference performer Kaden Kinard. Before the 2020 season ended prematurely due to COVID-19, the women were picked second and the men third in the conference preseason polls.Â
Prior to Catholic, Dolan spent six seasons as the head coach at Division II Shepherd where he was named Mountain East Conference (MEC) Coach of the Year in 2016 after leading the Rams to their first-ever conference title and second-straight appearance at the NCAA Atlantic Eastern Regional. In addition, Ryan Crabtree was named MEC Player of the Year while Joey Burkinshaw and Brandon Dang garnered All-MEC honors.
