Brubaker has been with the Cardinals since 2014, beginning as an assistant throws coach before being promoted to head throws coach in 2017.

Brubaker has coached numerous all-conference athletes, including two Landmark Conference Field Athlete of the Year recipients in Mary Clark and Andrea Galeano. Under his teaching, Galeano was a two-time national qualifier in the weight throw. He is USA Track and Field Level 1 certified and received his strength and conditioning coaching certification from the US Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). 

A 2013 graduate of Catholic, Brubaker was a team captain and stand out performer for the Cardinals track team in his four years with the program, earning All-Landmark Conference Second Team honors twice in the weight throw. He graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in politics in 2013 while also earning the James Dorney award for outstanding academic achievement among politics majors.

Brubaker assists with in recruiting and currently works as a consultant in the DMV.
