Edward Luthy

    Assistant Coach (Pole Vault)

Edward Luthy joined Catholic's staff in the fall of 2019.

Luthy has resided in Washington, DC since 2008. During this time, he founded and served as head coach to DC Vault, where he trained the Dominican Republic Indoor and Outdoor National Record Holder, the 2016 NACAC U23 Championships Bronze Medalist, a 2012 Women's Olympic Trails Finalist, the 2013 Masters World Champion (60-65 group), the Catholic University Women's and Men's Record Holder, the Howard University Men's Record Holder, five USATF Youth National Champions, one USATF Youth National Record Holder, and multiple high school state, conference and school record holders. 

From 2003-2008, coach Luthy trained the Women's Pole Vaulters at Eastern Michigan University. During his time at EMU, he produced two NCAA D-I National Championship Finalists, two MAC Conference Champions, two MAC Conference Silver Medalists, the University of Michigan Fieldhouse Record Holder, the Eastern Michigan University Stadium Record Holder and the Eastern Michigan University Record Holder.
