Declan Waters joins Katie O'Driscoll's rowing staff for the 2024-25 season after previously competing as a student-athlete under her leadership.
Born into a military family, Waters grew up in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Before he found rowing, Declan played soccer, lacrosse, and swam. He is heavily involved in the arts, and is a talented musician, painter, and voice actor.
Declan comes back to Catholic Rowing after being one of the founding members of the varsity team. A three-time captain, Declan was part of the first crew to ever represent Catholic U at the IRA Championships, and he has the distinction of being the program's first and only IRA All-American.
Declan graduated in 2022 with a Business Strategy, Management, and Operations degree from the Busch School of Business.Â
