Bruegger joins the Catholic men's rowing staff for his first season in 2023.
Bruegger brings over 15 years of rowing experience to the team. He competed competitively for the Hilton Head Island Crew high school team and went on to join the Palmetto Rowing club. He also was a member of the crew team at the College of Charleston.
After high school, Bruegger joined the U.S. Army as a Health Care Specialist where he was stationed in Hawaii. He then transferred to South Carolina and was a member of the Army National Guard.
During his time in the military, Bruegger also attended the College of Charleston and earned a A.B. degree in history. He then went on to earn a Master's degree in medieval history from the University of York. At University of York, Bruegger was a volunteer coach for the YUrow squad and the novice women's squad, leading them to several wins.
