A 2025 graduate of George Mason University, Alex Murphy joins the Catholic XC/Track & Field program as a graduate assistant.
Murphy earned a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from George Mason where he spent the final two years of his collegiate career. A varsity athlete and member of the A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll, Murphy transferred into GMU after starting his career at American University.
The George Mason graduate clocked a personal best time of 8:41.13 in the 3,000 at the Bruce Lehane Scarlet and White Invitational in 2025. His personal bests in the 5,000 and 10,000 both came in 2024 with times of 15:17.95 and 31:48.44 at the Hopkins Loyola Invitational and Dalton Ebanks Invitational respectively.
Murphy has spent time as a Running Consultant with Point 2 Running Company and worked as a Summer Camp Counselor with Overtime Athletics.
