As a Freshman (2025): Appeared in seven games in relief on the mound...finished with a 10.29 ERA over seven innings pitched...struck out 10 batters...made his collegiate debut on Mar. 1, tossing a shutout inning with two strikeouts versus RPI...pitched 1.1 shutout innings against #11 Kean on Mar. 12...struck out four batters over 1.2 shutout innings against Moravian on Mar. 15...allowed just one unearned run over 1.1 innings with three strikeouts on Mar. 22 at Juniata.

Prior to Catholic: Played varsity baseball at Phillips Exeter Academy...All-CNEPSBL All-Star selection in 2024.

Personal: Son of Paul and Kristin Penney...has one brother, Ryan...his father, Paul played baseball at Santa Clara...his uncle, Jon played baseball at Catholic...his cousin, Jack was drafted to the Detroit Tigers after playing at Notre Dame...he and his brother co-founded The Home2First Foundation to help collect and distribute baseball equipment to underprivileged kids and communities.
