Niko Jenkins

Niko Jenkins enters his first year on Coach Ross Natoli’s staff in 2023-2024. A 2020 graduate of LaSalle College, Jenkins will oversee all aspects of Catholic's defense while also handling base running responsibilities.  

No stranger to the area, Jenkins was an All-WCAC standout at St. John’s College High School. A two-time All-State selection, Jenkins was also named named Washington Post All Met as a senior. After graduating, Jenkins attended LaSalle in Philadelphia, competing in the Atlantic-10.  

A four-year member of the Explorers' baseball team, Jenkins pitched and played infield during his time in Philly. Jenkins appeared in 67 career games at LaSalle while tossing 55.1 innings across 41 appearances. As a freshman, Jenkins made 10 starts in the field before transitioning to a pitching role full-time. As a sophomore, Jenkins made 15 appearances and pitched to a 2.63 ERA across 24.0 innings. During the summers, he played in the Cal Ripken, Valley, Northwoods, and Coastal Plains Leagues.  

Most recently, Jenkins helped lead the Vermont Lake Monsters to the Futures Collegiate League Championship Series. Jenkins oversaw the hitters and infielders while coaching third base. Vermont sported the best fielding percentage in the league this past summer. 
 

Away from the field, Jenkins valiantly serves our country, having earned a Commission as an Infantry Officer. Jenkins has earned an Army Commendation Meda and attended Army leadership schools such as Infantry Leader, Airborne, and Ranger School. Jenkins has held positions as a light infantry company executive officer, heavy weapons platoon leader, and a Scout/Sniper specialty section leader. Jenkins currently serves in the Maryland Army National Guard.
