John Libert '63 - Men's Track & Field
Libert ran indoor and outdoor track all four years at Catholic, starting in 1954 as a member of Catholic's record setting Mason-Dixon Conference indoor sprint relay. In 1954, he placed first in the conference in the outdoor 100- and 220-yard dash, setting the conference record in the 220 at 21.3 seconds. Libert remained undefeated in the 100 and 220 yard dashses in dual competition for the rest of his career and won the John L. Corbett trophy for track excellence in 1957.

David Murphy '70 - Baseball, Football
Murphy was a four-year starter of the baseball and football team. He was a pitcher and also batted .417 as a junior. For his quarterback prowess, Murphy was named three-time team MVP has a sophomore, junior and senior as well as Washington, D.C. Outstanding Collegiate Football Player in 1967. As a junior, Murphy finished third in the nation in total offense, seventh in punting and ninth in passing among club teams. He was named honorable mention All-American by the National Club Football Service.Â

Joseph Pascale '72 - Football Coach
Pascale was primarily responsible for elevating the football program from club status to the Division III level. His 67 wins are the most for a football coach in school history, while his 43 wins on the varsity level are second only to co-Hall of Famer Dutch Bergman. He was a football coach from 1972-84.

Frederick Rice '44 - Men's Basketball Coach
Rice was a four-year member of the basketball team. He was an excellent team leader and sharp-shooting forward on the 1943-44 Mason-Dixon Conference championship team which went to the NCAA Tournament at Madison Square Garden. Rice had a well-rounded floor game and was an excellent foul shooter. Rice's dad, Fred Rice, was Catholic's first basketball coach.

Walter Wegesser '67 - Men's Tennis, Men's Swimming & Diving
Wegesser earned five varsity letters. He was a four-year member of the tennis and swim team. He ran cross country his freshman year. He also participated in soccer and wrestling his senior year. Wegesser was a member of the 19-65 Mason-Dixon Championship team and the record-setting 1967 relay team. In tennis, he started all four years and was first flight singles as a junior and senior. Wegesser was the 1966 Catholic University Sportsman of the Year.
