Robert Cioffari '68 - Men's Basketball
Cioffari was a four-year member of the basketball team. He is the ninth-leading scorer in CUA basketball history, third among three-year players, with 1,250 points. He still holds the school career rebounding record, averaging 10.4 rebounds per game over his career. He was the team MVP in an upset victory over nationally ranked St. Joseph's (Pa.) with 29 points and 17 rebounds.
John Hengstler '33 - Men's Swimming Coach
Hengstler, who led the Cardinals from 1948-1963, gained a reputation for making polished swimmers out of inexperienced candidates. He coached the team to back-to-back Mason-Dixon Conference championships in 1955 and 1956.
Karyn Mulholland '79 - Women's Tennis, Volleyball, Women's Swimming & Diving
A diverse varsity athlete, Mulholland excelled in women's tennis, volleyball and swimming. As a senior, she set a school diving record in a meet with American University with 162.1 points. During her collegiate career, Washingtonian magazine listed her among the Top 100 Athletes in Washington, D.C. Dolan compiled a 35-14 career doubles record in tennis. Mulholland was a four-year member of the tennis and volleyball team. She also a three-year member of the swimming and diving team her freshman, sophomore and junior year.
