| By:
KANSAS CITY, Mo.  – The Catholic men's soccer team remained in the top 10 of the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 after holding its place as the ninth-ranked team in the country, it was announced today. The number nine ranking once again matches the highest the program has ever been in the USC poll.

The Cardinals are coming off a 1-0-1 week where they had to come up with late goals to earn results in both contests. The week started off with a 3-3 draw against Stevenson where Catholic was trailing late in the action, but Luke Lillis came up with a match-tying goal in the 79th minute to help secure a draw. The week was capped off by a thrilling goal from Alessandro Marquez Zeleya with just 22 seconds left in regulation to earn the Cardinals a victory in their conference opener against Lycoming. The win over the Warriors gave the program its 40th consecutive Landmark regular season bout without a defeat.

Catholic has outscored opponents 20-5 thus far this season which ranks 28th in the nation in goal differential. The Cardinals have secured five shut outs in their seven wins on the season with three going to Owen Allegro. Catholic currently sits in 20th in the country in shutout percentage on the year.
