Mullen and Courtney Finish in Top 10 at Stevenson Fall Invitational

UPPERCO, Md.  – The Catholic women's golf team played for the third consecutive day on Monday afternoon, this time in the Stevenson Fall Invitational at Piney Branch Golf Club for a one round competition. The Cardinals finished the day with a team score of 363 to finish 14 strokes away from the top spot, coming in second place.

Two Catholic players finished in the top 10 in a field of 44 players, led by Meghan Mullen who finished the afternoon with a round of 85 (+14) to finish in tie for second place. She collected two birdies on the 509-yard par five and the 150 yard par three on holes two and 13. She also finished up with five pars during her round. Gabi Courtney also placed in the top 10 in a tie for ninth by shooting a 90. She collected her lone birdie at hole 14 from 408 yards away on a par five. She also added four pars during her round.

Aleysha Ramos was next on the leader board for Catholic and she shot a 91 to finish in a tie for 11th-place. She recorded a birdie on hole 18 and also poured in five pars, including three in a row to wrap up the front nine. 

Mary McGuire and Ellery Talbot rounded out the Cardinals that competed on Monday as they shot a 97 and 98 respectively.

The Catholic athletes also competed independently in the tournament on Monday and came away with these scores and finishes:

Harper Capilli - 8th - 89
Sydney Colen - T20th - 96
Klaudia Ritter - T30th - 104

Catholic is back in action on Monday, October 12 for the Mid-Atlantic Classic in Hampstead, Md. at Oakmont Green.
