HAGERSTOWN, Md.  – The Catholic women's golf team began its weekend at the Cardinal Fall Classic on Saturday afternoon in the program's second tournament of the season. The Cardinals shot a 345 as a team to sit in third place heading into the second round.

Ellery Talbot had the best round on the day for the Cardinals as she shot an 83 to sit in eighth place in the standings. She picked up a birdie on the 307-yard par four and also added six pars during her round.

Gabi Courtney and Meghan Mullen each shot an 87 to be in the top 15 in a tie for 14th. Courtney had three pars on the front nine before adding two more on the back nine and Mullen had nine pars in total including four in a row on holes one through four. 

Aleysha Ramos sits in the top 20 in a tie for 18th after shooting an 88 with eight pars. Mary McGuire was the final Cardinal to compete and she finished her round with a 90.

The Cardinals are back at it for the second round of the Cardinal Fall Classic tomorrow with the action beginning at 10 am.
