GREENSBORO, N.C.  – The Catholic baseball team has been honored by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), receiving the Team Academic Excellence Award for the sixth consecutive season.

The award honors ABCA member programs that posted a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale during the 2025-26 academic year. This year the Cardinals were one of nearly 500 college programs to earn the award and also one of 196 Division III programs on the awards list. 

The program edged out its GPA from a season ago of 3.54, boasting a cumulative GPA of 3.59 during the 2025-26 academic year.
