Cardinals Capture Back-to-Back Golds at Dad Vail Regatta

PENNSAUKEN, N.J. – The Catholic women's rowing team returned to the Cooper River to compete in the finals at the 87th annual Dad Vail championships. The Cardinals defended their title to earn back-to-back golds at the Dad Vail.

After placing first in both the time trials and semis, the Varsity 8+ boat of Sadie Mattaliano as the coxswain, Adelaide Murrey as the stroke, Ellie Tynan in the bow, Claudia Hindley (7), Anne Mountcastle (6), Charlotte Fritz (5), Katherine Elizabeth Ma (4), Madelyn Smith (3), and Bridget Robben (2) returned to compete in the Dad Vail finals. 

The boat raced a time of 06:48.950, beating second place Vassar by just 00.470 and securing the gold. Stockton placed third with a time of 07:08.070. 

Up next, the Cardinals will head to the NCAA Championship at Lake Lanier Olympic Park in Gainesville, Georgia, hosted by Lake Lanier Olympic Park and University of North Georgia from May May 29-30th.
