Five Cardinals Named to the MARC All-Conference Lists

CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Five Cardinals have been selected to the Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference All-Conference Teams after a stellar showing at the MARC Championships.

Three seniors were given the first team nod: Claudia Hindley, Katherine Elizabeth Ma, and Anne Mountcastle.

Mountcastle is now a three time MARC first team selection and fourth time all-conference honoree, earning novice team honors her freshman year. After being a Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Athlete to watch for this season, it comes as no surprise that senior Mountcastle caps off her career with first team honors. Ma and Hindley receive their first all-conference honors with the first team selection after being a part of the Varsity 8+ boat's success.

Adelaide Murrey collected a second team selection. As a freshman, Murrey has been a key contributor to the stroke in the Varsity 8+ boat.

Freshman Samantha Flynn received novice team honors for her performance this season. A frequent member of the Varsity Fours, Flynn recorded first place finishes in the St. Mary's Dual Race and at the WAC Invitational this spring.

Up next, the Cardinals will compete in the Dad Vail Championships on Friday, May 8th. Additionally, the Cardinals have punched their NCAA ticket and will compete in the NCAA Division III Championships on May 29th through 31st.
