12 Cardinals Earn All-Region Recognition

NEW ORLEANS, La. - All-Region honorees for the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field season were announced today by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). The Catholic women's track and field team had 12 members of their squad receive honors for their performances throughout the season.

The top-8 individuals in each event from each region on the year-end earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-8 relay teams. Catholic women's track and field is a member of the South Region.

Olivia Sobkowicz earned two individual All-South Region nods, finishing third in the region in both the 5,000m and 10,000m. In the 5,000m, Sobkowicz clocked a time of 17:24.82 at the George Mason Dalton Ebanks Invitational. At the Bison Outdoor Classic, Sobkowicz finished the 10,000m in 36:20.96, setting a new program-best and securing a spot in the region's top-eight.

Laurel McMahon also recorded a top-eight time this season in the 10,000m. At the Williams' F.I.R.E. Mee. she clocked a time of 36:41.73, finishing sixth in the region to earn an All-Region honor.

Mia McConnell and Brigid Byrnes each earned a pair of honors, individually in the 400m Hurdles and alongside their Cardinal teammates in the 4x400 Relay. McConnell took fifth in the 400mH in 1:02.79 at the Widener Final Qualifier. Byrnes took sixth in the region, clocking a time of 1:03.49 at the Legacy Meet.

McConnell and Byrnes, alongside Mya Sampong and Zoey Brown, earned an All-Region honor in the 4x400 Relay. The team took sixth in the region after recording a time of 3:55.93 at the Landmark Conference Outdoor Championships on May 2.

Ainsley Reisman, Erin Buckley, Kortney Clipper, and Sarah Schumacher each earned All-South Region nods for their performance in the 4x100 Relay where they placed eighth at the Widener Final Qualifier, clocking a program-best time of 47.89. This marked the first time in program history that the Cardinals have run below 48 seconds. 

In the Heptathlon, Lauryn Pearson and Pauline Kennedy both earned All-South Region recognition for their performances at the Susquehanna River Hawk Multis. Pearson finished with a mark of 3,855, solidifying a spot at second in the record books and earning the sixth spot in the South Region's top eight. Kennedy finished at 3,202 points, the fourth-best performance in program history, securing the eighth spot in the South Region.
