Trio Arcement, Scolese, and Fleming Earn NFCA All-Region Honors

| By:
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Three Cardinals received the National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Region nod, it was announced today.

NFCA All-Region athletes are nominated by their head coach, voted for by the coaches in their region, and ultimately selected by elected All-American committee members to receive this prestigious accolade. These honorees are in the top 1% of student-athletes competing in the 2025-26 season. Catholic is in Region V.

Aubrynn Arcement was named as a pitcher on the third-team squad after being a pillar in the circle all season, pitching a team high 114.0 innings. The senior ended the season with a 1.60 ERA and sits second in the record books with this honor, just behind her 2023 self with 1.47. The Cardinals frequently called upon the senior during the Landmark Tournament, pitching two shutouts.

Katie Scolese earned her second career third team all-region recognition as a shortstop, her first was after the 2024 season. The shortstop broke the program single-season doubles record with 19, while also being one long ball away from the program single-season home run record after sending 10 over the wall this spring. Scolese ended her senior season with .351 average at the plate and a career average of .328. With her 40 RBIs this season, Scolese sits in fifth in the single-season record book. She is also ninth in the record books with her .696 slugging percentage this season.

Emma Fleming earned her third team honors as a second baseman after stepping into the role mid spring. The sophomore led the team in batting average with .373, going 44-for-118. She ended the season with a 16 game hit streak.

These three selections are the most NFCA All-Region honors in a single season in program history, beating the previous high of two.
