WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - The Catholic men's and women's track and field team traveled to Williams College for the Farley Inter Regional.
Lauryn Pearson and
Drew Madden finished out their events in the multis on day two.Â
On the second day of the decathlon, Madden competed in five events: 110m Hurdles, Discus, Pole Vault, Javelin, and 1,500m. In the 110m hurdles, Madden recorded a time of 16.10. In discus, the freshman threw 33.06m. He reached 3.00m in the pole vault. Madden recorded a new personal best in javelin with 35.54m. He also rounded out the day with another best, this time in the 1500m with a time of 5:04.75. Overall, the freshman received 5,785 points and placed second.Â
In the heptathlon, Pearson totaled 3,448 points in 12th place. In the long jump, she reached a distance of 4.71m. The freshman recorded a time of 2:51.07 in the 800m. She did not record any distance in the javelin.
Up next, the Cardinals will head to Widener University to compete in their Final Qualifier on Monday, May 11th. The meet is scheduled to begin at noon in Chester, Pennsylvania.
