Pearson, Kennedy, and Quashne Set Bests in Heptathlon Events at First Day of Susquehanna Multis

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Catholic women's track and field team headed over to Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania to compete in the Susquehanna Multis to kick off their packed weekend. 

Lauryn Pearson, Pauline Kennedy, and Kate Quashne made the trip to represent the Cardinals in the heptathlon. Pearson competed in the Orange squad, while Kennedy and Quashne competed in the Maroon group.

In the 100m hurdles, Pearson ran a personal best 15.88. In the high jump, the freshman logged a height of 1.55m tying her program fifth-best height. Pearson threw a distance of 8.86m in shot put, a new best. She rounded out her day with 27.69 in the 200m race. 

In the 100m hurdles, Kennedy logged 17.91 and Quashne ran a personal best 19.95. In the high jump, Kennedy reached 1.39m as her college best. Quashne reached a best of 1.33m.

The high point of Kennedy's day was her third place finish with a distance of 9.05m in shot put. In the same event, sophomore Quashne threw a personal best distance of 6.80. 

Both Quashne and Kennedy logged personal bests in the 200m. Quashne ran 29.57 and Kennedy finished in 30.16. 

All three Cardinals will return for the second day of the Susquehanna Multis on Friday, April 10th. Events are slated to begin at 10:30 a.m.
