Sobkowicz Sets Program Record at Day One of the Dalton Ebanks Invitational

FAIRFAX, Va. — The Catholic women's track and field team headed over to George Mason for the Dalton Ebanks Invitational. The Cardinals set new program bests and find Division III leader boards with their performances. 

In the 5000m, Olivia Sobkowicz set a new program record with her personal best time of 17:24.82. This time also logs her at the Division III 25th best time. Laurel McMahon chalked up a time of 17:54.53, a personal best and program third best time. Bridgid Cavanaugh completed the race in 19:28.91. 

Mia McConnell set the new Division III 28th best time in the 400m hurdles with her season best time of 1:05.15. 

In the 200m, Sarah Schumacher set a season best 26.40. Zoey Brown also chalked up a season best in the event with a time of 26.70. Ainsley Reisman raced 26.84, a personal best. 

In the 800m, Mya Sampong recorded a time of 2:22.66. Erin Roche tallied her personal best with 2:30.87 in the event. 

In the hammer throw, Maggie McNulty reached a distance of 36.66m. Kate Quashne reached 4.88m in the long jump. 

Up next, the Cardinals will return for day two of the Dalton Ebanks Invitational on Saturday, April 4th. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. in Fairfax, Virginia.
