Both Relays Take Fourth in Finals at Historic Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Catholic women's track and field competed in two Eastern Finals at the Penn Relays. Both relay teams performed well, improving upon their qualifying seed.

In the 4x100 Eastern Finals, Erin Buckley, Kortney Clipper, Ainsley Reisman, and Sarah Schumacher represented the Cardinals. The squad took fourth place with their time of 49.00. This is the program's eighth best time in the event.

In the 4x400, Mia McConnell, Brigid Byrnes, Zoey Brown, and Mya Sampong also took fourth place. They recorded a time of 4:01.26 in the Eastern Finals.

This was the third straight year that Catholic has competed in the Eastern Finals.

Up next, the Cardinals will compete in the Landmark Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Juniata. Catholic will travel to Huntingdon, Pa. for opening day on Saturday, May 2nd with the meet kicking off at 11 a.m.
