Cardinals Lock In Podium Finishes at Carpenter-Case Invite

WESTMINSTER, Md. – The Catholic women's track and field team traveled to McDaniel to compete in the Carpenter-Case Invite. Multiple Cardinals took podium finishes, including first place spots from Maggie McNulty and Lauryn Pearson in their respective events. 

McNulty took the top spot in the hammer throw. The freshman threw a personal best 40.10m, a program seventh best distance. 

Chloe Dodd reached a personal best height of 3.20m in the pole vault with her third place finish. This is tied for the program's second best.

In the 1500m race, Bridgid Cavanaugh ran a personal best time of 4:55.32. Isabel Doran also logged a personal best of 5:42.24. Margaret Glenn competed in the event with a time of 5:53.38. 

The Cardinals dominated the 100m hurdles, with Pearson finishing first with a personal best time of 15.41. She is now tied for the program's second best time. Alicia Vo ran a season best, 16.59. Rachel Sprauer logged a season best time of 17.01. Dodd and Corina Colmenares Bittar ran 17.52 and 17.81, respectively. Pauline Kennedy rounded out the crew with a time of 18.27. 

Alyssa Oscar represented the Cardinal in the triple jump with a distance of 9.51m. 

In the long jump, Pearson led the Cardinals with a distance of 4.91m. Kate Quashne jumped 4.76m. Oscar reached 4.73m. Erin Driscoll jumped 4.24m. 


Sara Roberts tallied a personal best time of 2:39.06 in the 800m. 

In javelin, Kennedy threw a distance of 18.69m and Kaelyn Boodlal reached 12.40m. 

In the 400m hurdles, Kiera Webster placed first with her personal best time of 1:10.52. This ties the program's tenth best time. Sprauer finished second with 1:12.77. 

Up next, Catholic will have two relay teams compete in the Eastern finals at the historic Penn Relays on Saturday, April 25th.
