Box Score SELINSGROVE, Pa. - The Catholic men's tennis team remains unbeaten in Landmark play with a win over Susquehanna on Sunday afternoon. The Cardinals secured the victory, 6-1 over the River Hawks.
Ian Arenas and
Paulo Emanuelli picked up the first win in doubles on court three, defeating their Susquehanna opponents 6-1.
Diego Romo and
Lorenzo Neri then battled in the one spot to secure the win, but fell 6-3. Going into the final match 1-1,
Jake Hershey and
Flynn Hollinger captured the point on court two, taking the win, 6-3.
In singles, Lorenzo, Romo, and Hollinger all won in straight sets. Neri faced off against Logan Rauschenberger on court one, winning 6-2, 6-1. Romo competed against Austin Imhoof in the three spot, winning 6-1, 6-0. Hollinger shutout his opponent, Tyler Hester in the four spot, winning 6-0 in both sets.
After losing set one on court five, 6-2,
Stefano Gasasira came back and defeated Nathan Bassett 6-2, forcing a third set. He captured the victory in a set three tiebreak, winning 1-0 (10-6).
Charlie Robbins defeated his opponent, Daniel Murphy, in similar fashion. Robbins claimed set one, 6-2. Murphy then came back to win in set two, 6-2. Robbins then secured the win in the third set, 1-0 (11-9).
The Cardinals continue their unbeaten streak, improving their Landmark record to 6-0 and overall record to 11-6.
