HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. - The Catholic men's tennis team matched up against Berry College on Sunday morning for the first meeting of their spring break trip. The Vikings established control early, defeating the Cardinals 6-0.

In doubles play, Catholic battled hard. Diego Romo and James Earwood competed in the one spot against Berry's Aiden Benoualid and Jake Chapman in a competitive match, but ultimately fell 5-7. Jake Hershey and Flynn Hollinger also battled in the two spot, but came up short, falling 6-4 to their Berry opponents.

In singles play, Hershey and Romo fought hard against their opponents. Hershey took on Leo Nedkov, while Romo faced Lambert Anderson. Both Cardinals pushed their matches to three sets before falling in the third.

Catholic ultimately fell to the Vikings, 6-0. The Cardinals will return to action on Wednesday, March 11, when they will face off against Carroll at noon at the Hilton Head High School Tennis Center.
