TOWSON, Md. - For the second consecutive week, the Catholic women's lacrosse team has had a member of their squad receive Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week honors. This week,
Maggie Traynor was named Offensive Athlete of the Week, the first recognition of her career.
The Cardinals had one game this week, beginning conference play against Moravian on Saturday, March 21. Traynor led the squad, scoring a career-high six goals in the game. She also established herself as a playmaker, dishing out five assists to total 11 points in the game.
Traynor now leads the team with 14 goals and 20 points this season. She is the first member of the squad to receive the Offensive Athlete of the Week title this season, and the second to get Landmark Conference recognition, joining teammate
Grace Button who received the defensive honor for the week of March 16.
Catholic will be back in action on Wednesday, March 25 against Goucher for their second conference game of the season. The game is scheduled for 5 p.m. on Carlini Field.
