Cardinals Open Up Outdoor Season at First Day of Fred Hardy Invitational

RICHMOND, Va. – The Catholic women's track and field team started off the outdoor season at the Fred Hardy Invitational. The meet opened up with a series of field events. 

In the shot put, the three Cardinal women finished back-to-back-to-back. Caroline Welsh led the group with a throw of 10.55m. Maggie McNulty threw 9.56m and Kaelyn Boodlal rounded out the group with 8.54m.

McNulty led Catholic in the hammer throw with a distance of 37.27m. Bethany Riddle reached a new personal best of 31.66m in the event. Welsh finished with a distance of 29.61m. 

The Cardinals will be back at the Fred Hardy Invitational on Friday, March 20th. The second day of the meet will begin at 10 a.m. at E. Claiborne Robins Stadium.
