WILMINGTON, Del. –
Anne Mountcastle has been named to the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association 2026 Athletes to Watch, it was announced today. Previously, Mountcastle was named to the CRCA 2025 Athletes to Watch.
These athletes were nominated by their respective coaches, taking into consideration their performance, consistency, leadership skills, work ethic, sportsmanship, and more.
Mountcastle, a Dallas, Texas native is a senior nursing student-athlete. Additionally, she is a member of the Student Nurses Association.
Last season, captain Mountcastle was named to the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association All-America second team, becoming the first woman in Catholic rowing history to garner the honor. During her career, Mountcastle has been a two time recipient of MARC First Team All-Conference honors (2024, 2025).
Other previous accolades include 2023 All-MARC Novice Team Selection and MARC Crew of the Week on April 2, 2025. The senior also earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors and CRCA honors for the 2025 season.
Mountcastle and the Cardinals will open the season at the Washington College Invite on Saturday, March 21st. The race will take place at the Hodson Boathouse in Chestertown, Maryland.
