Dodd and Adams Enter the Catholic Record Book at Coach I Invite

LANCASTER, Pa. – The Catholic women's track and field team traveled to Franklin & Marshall to compete in the Coach I Invite. 

Chloe Dodd enters the Catholic record books with her third place pole vault of 3.03m. This places her in third in the program record books. Maija Adams also enters the record books with her personal best pole vault distance of 2.88m. This sixth place finish also places her sixth in the record books.

Both Erin Buckley and Kortney Clipper qualified for the 60 meter finals. Buckley placed fifth in the finals with a time of 8.11, while Clipper raced a time of 8.15 and placed eighth.  

Edith Tomasek qualified for the 60 meter hurdle finals and placed seventh in the finals with a time of 9.76 seconds. Tomasek also earned a personal best in the high jump. She reached 1.50m and a seventh place finish. 

In the high jump Lauryn Pearson followed right behind in eighth with 1.45m while Alicia Vo jumped 1.40m.

Kourtney Clipper competed a time of 27.11in the 200 meter dash and placed seventh out of 57 runners. Mia McConnell was close behind with a ninth place finish and a time of 27.23. Erin Buckley and Zoey Brown finished in twelfth and thirteenth, respectively. Buckley raced a time of 27.84 and Brown raced a time of 27.87.

In the mile, Erin Roche competed with a time of 5:56.03 to be the fastest Cardinal finisher in 23rd place.

Olivia Sobkowicz placed third overall in the 3000 meter and was the second Division III three runner with a time of 10:48.07. 

Alexa Grassi placed fourth in the 400 meter with a time of 1:02.94, less than a second behind her collegiate best. Riley Walsh ran a season best time of 1:04.37 and placed sixth in the event. 

The 4x400 team consisting of Zoey Brown, Mia McConnell, Alicia Vo, Riley Walsh raced a time of 4:19.15 and placed seventh of 19 relay teams.

Bethany Riddle captured a personal best in the weight throw with her throw of 10.53 meters. 

In shot put, Caroline Welsh placed ninth out of 42 throwers with her throw of 10.71m. Kaelyn Boodlal earned a personal best in the event with a distance of 8.98m. Maggie McNulty also earned a personal best with her throw of 9.34m. 

Up next, the Cardinals will compete at the Patriot Games in Fairfax, Va. hosted by George Mason. The meet will start at 4 p.m. on Friday, January 30th and continue on Saturday, January 31st.
