ARLINGTON, Va. - The Catholic men's swimming and diving hit the road on Friday afternoon for a Pope's Cup match up against Marymount. The Cardinals fell to the Saints in the meet, 147-95.
Teddy Tsakumis had another standout performance against the Saints, picking up first in the 100 Backstroke in 52.83. Tsakumis also took second in the 50 Freestyle, clocking a time of 21.89.
Sean Kelty picked up his own first-place finish at the Lee Center Pool, taking the top spot in the 500 Freestyle with a time of 4:59.37. Kelty also took the silver in the 200 Freestyle, recording a time of 1:49.37.
John Holler notched two podium finishes in the meet, taking first in the 200 IM with a time of 2:02.49, and second in the 100 Breaststroke in 1:01.62.
The Cardinals are now 3-3 in their 2025-26 campaign, and are 2-1 against the Saints in series history.
Catholic will return home on Saturday, January 24 for a senior day meet against Salisbury. The meet is scheduled for 1 p.m. in the DuFour Center Pool.
