HUMMELS WHARF, Pa. — The Catholic men's golf team competed at the Susquehanna Fall Invitational on Thursday and finished in third place in the field, finishing with a score of 304 (+24) as a team.
Matthew Dietl had the best finish on the afternoon for the Cardinals, matching his career lowest round with a 74 (+4), to finish in a tie for sixth place.
Joe Earley also finished in the top 10, finishing with a 75 (+5) to be in a tie for 10th.
Freshman
Matthew Begg competed for the second time in his career and came away with a top 20 finish, placing in a tie for 17th with a 76 (+6), just one stroke higher than his previous round.
Emmet Kilmartin competed on the 'B' team for the Cardinals and turned in a top 30 finish with a 79 (+9) to be tied for 29th in the field.
In its next match, Catholic will host the Cardinal Fall Classic at Black Rock Golf Course starting on Saturday, September 27.
