WASHINGTON, D.C. - Catholic men's rower David Fritz was named a 2025 Empacher-IRCA Second Team All-American it was announced earlier this week. 

Fritz, a senior rower from Berwyn, Pa. recently completed his senior campaign as a leader of the men's rowing program. The All-MARC rower helped lead the Varsity 8+ to the MARC Grand Final where the Cardinals placed sixth. 

Fritz also competed in the Varsity 4+ boat at the IRA Championships, racing to a fourth-place finish in Final 6 with a time of 6:56.010.

Fritz becomes the second All-American in program history, joining coach Declan Waters. Fritz joins Anne Mountcastle as the second member of the rowing program to earn All-American honors in 2025.
