WASHINGTON, D.C. - Catholic Head Swimming & Diving Coach and Aquatics Director John Bodden is stepping down from the position. The two-time Landmark Conference Champion coach will take over as the Head Coach of Swimming at Stingray Swim Club in his native Cayman Islands. 

After taking over as the interim head coach in 2023, Bodden led the men's program to two championships, increasing the Catholic men's swimming & diving championship streak to nine. 

On the women's side, Bella Mugno swam to a pair of Landmark Swimmer of the Year honors under Bodden's leadership while Tara Wiarda was the Rookie of the Year in 2024. 

Bodden has previously acted as an assistant coach with the Stingray Swim Club.

A national search is currently underway for the open position.
