MERCER, N.J. – The Catholic men's rowing team earned two medals on Sunday at the MARC Championships.
The Cardinals' varsity 8+ qualified for the grand final after placing third in the prelims with a time of 6:45.41. They returned for the afternoon race and placed sixth with a time of 6:46.16. The top boat in the event came from Bucknell with a time of 6:11.71.
The varsity 4+ placed fifth in the final with a time of 7:37.76. They topped boats from George Washington and Franklin & Marshall by over 40 seconds. The gold medal boat from Lehigh crossed the finish line in 7:10.34, followed by a team from Bucknell with a 7:11.98, and a third-place team from Marietta with a 7:26.33.
Catholic will travel to Cherry Hill, N.J. on Friday, May 9 for the Dad Vails.
