CHESTER, Pa. -
Conor Gross broke his own Landmark Conference record in the 1,500 while moving into third on the Catholic all-time list on Monday at the Widener Final Qualifier while the 4x100 relay team broke the program record for the second time this season.
Gross finished ninth in the 1,500 on Monday, clocking a time of 3:49.40 to break his own Landmark Conference record by more than three seconds. Gross moves up two spots on Catholic's all-time performance list, passing Brian Flynn and national champion Tom Caffrey to sit third behind Richard Brody and national champion
Mark Robinson.
The 4x4100 relay team of
Sam Compton,
Jevontae Fearwell,
James Galang, and
Sebastian Lopez finished third with a time of 40.99, breaking the previous program record of 41.06. The time is the second-fastest in Landmark Conference history, jumping the previous program record time of 41.06 set at the Dalton Ebanks Invitational.
Fearwell also ran the 200, finishing 11th with a season-best time of 21.67.
