PENNSAUKEN, N.J. - After a tremendous Friday on the water, Catholic's Division III Varsity Eight boat made it a weekend clean sweep, winning the Grand Final to leave the Dad Vail Regatta with medals around their necks.
Competing with Bryn Mawr, Stockton, and RIT in the Grand Final, the Catholic boat clocked a time of 7:07.081, besting Bryn Mawr's top boat by more than five seconds to capture gold. The Cardinal boat was more than eight seconds faster than Stockton who took home bronze.
Also on the water on Saturday, Catholic's Frosh/Novice 4+ took second in Final 3 with a time of 9:07.316, finishing ahead of Pittsbugh, Fordham, and Merrimack, but just under 10 seconds shy of Oklahoma City.
