Down Goes the Women's Track & Field 4x100 Relay Record

FAIRFAX, Va. – Catholic women's track and field wrapped up the Dalton Ebanks Invitational at George Mason on Saturday with a record-breaking performance and a handful of new PRs. 

Erin Buckley, Sarah Schumacher, Felicity Giampietro, and Kortney Clipper broke the 4x100 relay record with a time of 48.94. The squad bested the old record by .05 seconds which previously stood at 48.99. Buckley and Schumacher were members of that 2024 squad.

Alicia Vo started her day with an impressive triple jump showing. She recorded a 10.12m mark for a new outdoor PR and remains third on the performance list. Vo also competed in the 100m hurdles and set another PR. Her time of 16.67 put her eighth on the performance list and improved her best by .35 seconds.

The 100m hurdles featured three other Cardinals as well. Brigid Byrnes placed 25th with a time of 16.22. Edith Tomasek placed 27th with a personal best time of 16.36 and moved up to sixth on the performance list after topping her previous best of 16.52. Mia McConnell crossed the finish line just ahead of Vo with a time of 16.59 for 29th.

Catholics will travel to New Jersey next weekend for the Oscar Moore Invitational.
