Lorenzo Neri picked up victories at No. 2 doubles and No. 2 singles to help Catholic to a 4-3 victory over Scranton on Wednesday afternoon.
The Royals were short-handed, defaulting at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles due to having just five available players.
Neri and
Paulo Emanuelli won 6-2 at No. 2 doubles while
James Earwood and
Diego Romo continued their standout seasons at No. 1 doubles with a 6-4 victory to sweep the doubles point for Catholic.
Starting up 2-0 thanks to the default, Catholic picked up a third victory as
Henry Ogden won 6-4, 7-5 at No. 5 singles. Scranton got on the board with a win at No. 1 singles, but Neri finished off the clincher, winning 6-3, 7-5 to secure the victory.
Catholic now sits 6-1 in conference play with contests at Lycoming and Moravian remaining.
