CHERRY HILL, N.J. – Catholic women's rowing returned to the Cooper River for day two of the Knecht Cup on Sunday. The Cardinals raced in two finals and its varsity eight crew recorded another first place finish.
Prior to the start of the regatta, Catholic honored its three graduating seniors. Abigail Harris, Katherine Hourani and Lauren McGinn have made a tremendous impact on the rowing program and will continue to do so throughout their final season.
The varsity eight won the DIII petit final with a time of 7:30.77. They bested five other boats by more than 10 seconds to claim victory. Stockton was the next team to finish with a 7:40.02 and Ithaca took third with a 7:46.11.
The varsity four took to the water in the morning and finished in sixth place with a time of 9:11.98. They crossed the finish line just 10 seconds behind Stockton, who took fifth with a 9:01.95. Gordon won the event with a time of 8:10.02.
Catholic's next race is the Mid-Atlantic Rowing Championships on May 4.
