Nine Cardinals Earn Spots on All-Landmark Teams

TOWSON, Md.  — After a fourth place finish at the Landmark Conference Championships, multiple members of the Catholic men's track and field team earned All-Landmark Conference honors for their performances at the championships. 

Sam Compton, Sebastian Lopez, James Galang and Jevontae Fearwell all earned First Team All-Landmark honors by winning the 4x200 relay, making it back-to-back seasons the program has won the 4x200 championship. They finished with a time of 1:29.50 to set a new conference record in the event. It's Fearwell's third First Team honor in his career, the second for Compton and Lopez and the first for Galang. 

Gabe Stypul brought home Second Team All-Landmark honors reaching a mark of 4.25m which was the sixth best performance in program history. Stypul added another second team honor as a member of the 4x400 along with Nick Troy, Marco Indelicato and Peter Winter. The team clocked in at 3:26.48 for the third best performance in program history. Stypul now has three second team honors in his career, while Troy and Indelicato now have two and Winter earned his first.

Conor Gross also earned second team honors in the mile run finishing with a time of 4:23.13 to come in second place. It was the first time in Gross' career he earned a spot on the All-Landmark teams.

Fearwell added one more all-conference spot to his resume, earning third team honors in the 60 meter. He came in third with a time of 6.98 and he now has five total all-conference honors in his career.

The Cardinals are back in action on Saturday, March 8 in Medford, Mass. at the Tufts National Qualifying Meet with events starting at 12 pm.
