Eight different players scored in the first to build Catholic's 10-2 lead with Traynor, Wozniak, and Bredeman putting home the first three. Traynor's second of the day was followed by Galarza's first of two and Maddie McDevitt's eighth goal of the season. Kelly found the net with 5:06 to play in the first, marking her first goal of the season before Fiore and Tori Wilsey got involved with their 11th and 10th goals respectively. Galarza's third assist of the opening period led to Bredemann's second of the quarter to put Catholic ahead 10-1.

Brown scored back-to-back goals in the second to put the Cardinals up 14-2. Three minutes later, Reagan Quinn scored her first career goal on Galarza's sixth assist of the half. Wozniak scored with two seconds left to make it 17-2 at halftime.
