Several Top 10 Performers Arise at D3 Elite Meet

PITTSFORD, N.Y.  — The Catholic men's track and field team finished out its weekend at the D3 Elite Meet on Saturday afternoon.

Three Cardinals came away with their best season performance in the 200 meter in Jevontae Fearwell, Sam Compton and James Galang. Farewell came in 10th with a time of 22.73 while Compton and Galang ran career best times of 22.80 and 23.02 respectively. Compton's time moved him into a tie for third on the programs top performers list and Galang's time put him in sixth on the all-time performer list.

Peter Winter set a new PR in the 800 by shaving nearly two seconds off his previous best with a time of 1:56.93. His time marked the seventh best performance in the 800 in program history. 

Joe Wolfe put together a PR race in the 3000 meter, placing fifth with a time of 8:48.84. That time was good for the fourth best performance in the event in program history. 

Nick Troy recorded his PR time in the 400 meter from coming in at 51.85 to come in 12th place out of the field of 42.
Compton also came in second place in the 60 meter coming in at 7.04 to beat out third place by .02 second. 

Conor Gross competed in the mile and also grabbed a second place finish by over a full minute from third place, clocking in at 4:17.50.
