ASHLAND, Va. - The Catholic men's swimming and diving team competed in day three of the Yellow Jacket Invitational hosted by Randolph-Macon on Sunday. The Cardinals finished third in the competition, earning 710.5 points at the invite.

Shawn Mashburn and Reid Knuckles kick started day three at the Yellow Jacket Invitational in the 1650 Freestyle. Mashburn had clocked a time of 16:42.12, finishing seventh while Knuckles took 14th with a time of 17:16.17.

Teddy Tsakumis had another podium finish in the final day of competition, this time in the 200 Backstroke where he took third, recording a time of 1:52.52.

Sean Kelty kept the momentum up in the 200 Breaststroke where he placed third with at ime of 2:05.16. Benjamin Lutcher also competed in the event, finishing just two seconds after Kelty in sixth with a time of 2:06.78.

Tsakumis alongside Walter Cunningham, John Holler, and Jack Thompson competed in the 400 Freestyle Relay on Sunday, taking fourth in the event, clocking a time of 3:09.00. Another Cardinal crew made up of Colin Raue, Hank McGuire, Christian Miraglia and Daniel Green competed in the event, taking sixth with a time of 3:12.01.

The Cardinals will return to action on Saturday, January 10 at 1:00 p.m. in Fredericksburg, Va. where they will compete against Mary Washington.
