NEW ORLEANS, La. – All-Region honorees for the 2025 NCAA Division III Cross Country season were announced on Monday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) following the NCAA Regional Championships on Saturday, November 15.
Athletes earned All-Region distinction by virtue of a top-35 finish at one of the ten regional sites this past weekend.
Freshman
Olivia Sobkowicz and junior
Laurel McMahon received honors for their top finishes.
Sobkowicz finished fourth overall with a personal-best 6k time of 21:56.2 at the NCAA South Region Championships. This is the first time in her career to receive All-Region honors. Sobkowicz has had an impressive season so far, earning Landmark Rookie of the Year honors and a position on the Landmark All-Conference First Team.
McMahon raced a 6k personal-best of 22:15.4 with her 13th place finish as the second Cardinal to cross the finish line. This is the first time in her career to receive All-Region honors. The junior earned Landmark All-Conference First Team honors earlier this year.
Sobkowicz and McMahon currently sit as the second and third 6k runners in program history, respectively.Â
The pair will be headed to Spartansburg, South Carolina to compete in the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships on Saturday, November 22nd. The race will begin at 11 AM.
This marks the fifth consecutive season that Catholic has earned at least one All-Region honor and the fourth straight season with two or more.Â
