CLARK, N.J. - The Catholic women's cross country team picked up a second place finish in the Landmark Conference Championships on Saturday afternoon. The Cardinals picked up 65 points to secure their spot on the podium, with multiple Cardinals earning all-conference honors.
Olivia Sobkowicz earned a spot on the Landmark First Team All-Conference. Sobkowicz picked up a second-place finish in the 6k, crossing the finish line with a time of 22:00.47. Sobkowicz was also named Rookie of the Year, the first member of the women's squad to earn these honors since 2006.
Laurel McMahon joins Sobkowicz on the 2025 First Team All-Conference. McMahon finished with a time of 22:30.46 in the championship race, earning the fifth-place spot.
The Cardinals had two other top-25 finishers:
Alexa Grassi and
Bridgid Cavanaugh. Grassi finished eighth in the race with a time of 23:08.28, earning herself a spot on the Second Team All-Conference. Cavanaugh picked up 17th in the race, crossing the finish line with a time of 23:52.47, earning an All-Conference Honorable Mention.
Up next, the Cardinals will head to Salem, Va. for the NCAA South Region Championships on Saturday, November 15 at 11 a.m.
