McMahon and Sobkowicz Continue to Rewrite Record Books at Inter-Regional Border Battle

Glassboro, N.J. – The women's cross country team traveled to Glassboro, N.J. to compete in the Inter-Regional Border Battle hosted by Rowan.

Freshman Olivia Sobkowicz ran 22:02.7 and placed 16th out of 296 runners. Her performance was the fourth-best in program history, only one behind her personal-best performance at the Lehigh Paul Short Run on October 3rd. 

Laurel McMahon collected a personal-best time of 22:22.6 in today's DIII Champ 6k. This result placed her 25th overall. The junior is now ranked as the 3rd best runner in program history. Not only is she the 3rd best 6k runner of all time at Catholic with her time today, McMahon ran the 5th best 6k performance in program history. 

Junior Alexa Grassi and freshman Bridgid Cavanaugh finished in step with each other, chalking up times of 24:01.1 and 24:03.7, respectively. Grassi earned a personal-best time in the event.

Erin Roche, a freshman, earned a personal-best time 24:42.4, topping her previous best set at the Lehigh Paul Short Run. Mia LaMarra raced a 25:38.7, a personal-best in the 6k for the senior.

The Cardinals placed 15th out of 31 teams and earned 376 points.
