KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Catholic men's soccer team is back in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 poll, coming in ranked 23rd in this week's rankings, it was announced today. This is the third time this season that the Cardinals have found a spot in the poll.
Three times in the poll is the second-most times in program history the Cardinals have been in the rankings in a single-season and the most since 2019. Catholic was in the poll six times in the 2019 season, reaching as high as No. 10 in the rankings during that season, which is the highest the program has ever been ranked.
Catholic went 2-0 last week to improve to 7-0-5 on the season against two Landmark opponents, Goucher and Wilkes. The Cardinals scored three goals in each game with
Azaria Tewodros and
Holden Woodings each recording a pair and
Nick Licari also adding a goal. Catholic is currently tied for the most goals in the Landmark this season with 27 and it is also in the top 30 in the country in shots per game with 17.6. The Cardinals are also among some of the top teams in the country in goals against average as they are 38th in the nation at 0.75.
Woodings leads the conference in goals thus far this season with seven, two more than any other player in the Landmark.

Corey Magro is also among the conference leaders as his four assists are tied for the second-most in the league.
The Cardinals play on Tuesday, October 14 against Landmark foe Elizabethtown. Kickoff is set for 7 pm on Carlini Field.
